Many of you have noticed that there has been a "lack of attention" to the server and keeping things up to date, and in short I dont have the time to keep everything as updated as I would like to. That in conjunction with how much crap has happened and bad decisions on my part because we had dreamed to big and I decided to act upon it, has really just led to a lull in effort put onto the server.
The easiest way of correcting this and bringing the server back is to revert back to a "popular" modpack that nearly all of you found out about us from. Initially I had intended on leaving the current server up and running, however after reading chat of how someone mis-construed things that I directly said to them and how they decided to relay their own interpretation of things to everyone possible, quite frankly there is no point. Initially we were going to simply open a new server under on centralized "Forsaken Network" "brand" and let that server go on as it would and keep the current...
Hey there everyone,
I just wanted to let everyone know that we have a public starbound server up on the ip: z-mc.co
Feel free to come and join us, just remember that this game is still in early beta and there may be character/universe resets in the future. If you dont have this game I highly recommend it, you can get the game here.
I also put up a voting site, so feel free to vote here
We also have a private server up and running, PM me for information on that one
You may have noticed that we have decided to push the 1.6.4 build to recommended, this also means that we have moved the main server ip: z-mc.co over to the 1.6.4 server. If you wish to log into the old 1.5.2 server please use legacy.z-mc.co (included inside the download in tekkit).
There is still a bunch of work to be done on the server, but seeing how much the population dropped on our 1.5.2 servers I decided to move the more active server over to the main IP. The server WIKI will be populated within the next few days, and we will continue to update the server to get the town war system fully implemented, however I figured that players may want to come and get a "head" start before we officially push out the towns. The map is currently in a state of anarchy since the town system is not currently online so keep that in mind.
On another note, with the new server we changed up the way the donations...
Do note this information isn't necessarily final and edits can be made, if you have any criticisms or ideas please respond to this thread outlining them. We are making this for you after all
Town wars is the new feature we are going to be adding to the server to replace the old alpha, beta style of server separation. Essentially what this means is that all of our players will be on the one server existing in one of three states.
1. Wilderness fiends : Live anarchy style
2. Passive town resident : Live in a towny style, with all the protections that offers.
3. Aggressive town resident : Semi-towny, towny protections against all but those involved in an active war.
Note: All towns start off in passive mode. Passive towns will be taxed a protection fee on a weekly basis from their third passive irl day onwards.
The ideas in place at the moment provide certain perks for which ever you choose, which I will get onto shortly, but first a...
Due to quite a few issues on the development front and some issues with users not receiving confirmation emails at all from the old website, we decided to move over to a much larger and more widely used forum software; Xenforo. This may not be the last change to the theme of the website, however we are not going to be changing the base software from here. The same /register command will register you on the forums, and we will be sticking with XenForo. I imported all the old users who was signed up on the last site, should have received an email containing a password reset to allow you access this site as well so check your emails for those.
As we are also redeveloping everything to make things much simpler and more to the point (server wise) for 1.6.4 release, this also kinda fits with it, almost like a fresh new look on both ends. The new site is much simpler to maintain and use and hopefully you all like it better
